02Project Background

The Central African Republic has long had low electricity access rates and limited supply reliability, and inland locations including Bouar experience unstable municipal power supply. The UNDP Central African Republic Country Office is therefore procuring a hybrid solar photovoltaic system for its branch office in Bouar so that the premises can meet their own power demand.

The facility benefiting from this procurement is the decentralised branch office (antenne déconcentrée) of the "GUFE" (Guichet Unique de Formalisation des Entreprises) in Bouar. In addition to the power system, the contract covers the supply and installation of a computer network for the same premises, so that both power supply and office connectivity operate independently at that location.

The procurement is organised by the UNDP Central African Republic Country Office procurement unit. Bidders must register in the UNDP Quantum supplier portal and submit their proposals online; clarification requests are to be raised in writing through the portal's messaging function.
