The Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) of Ethiopia is the federal body responsible for the development and management of water resources, irrigation and energy. Public information from the ministry shows that it works with partners including the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and the International Solar Alliance (ISA) to advance solar power projects, including a 100 kW grid-tied rooftop solar installation completed at the ministry in cooperation with the International Solar Alliance.
The services are commissioned by the UNDP Ethiopia Country Office. The assignment is to provide engineering quality assurance and supervision in mini-grid development processes, over 260 working days distributed across 10 months. The duty station arrangement places 30% of the effort at the Ministry of Water and Energy in Addis Ababa and 70% on site at Serba and Harrey, with the emphasis of the work at the project site.
Consultants prepare their proposals in accordance with the Terms of Reference attached to the notice and submit them online through the UNDP Quantum supplier portal.
